Playing Online

Club NYC is one shared city. Everyone plays in the same Manhattan, at the same time.

One City for Everyone

• Everyone you see is live: walking, sitting, dancing, chatting, changing outfits and throwing parties.
• City locals (computer-run New Yorkers) fill the streets when it’s quiet, and step aside as more real players arrive.
• The online count at the top right shows how many New Yorkers are in the city. Click it to open the City tab and see where everyone’s hanging out.

Busy Places

A place holds up to 60 people. When it’s fuller than that, the city opens another copy (“Times Square 2”), and the online count shows which one you’re in.

You’re placed in the copy with the most of your friends, or the busiest one with room. Go buttons on your friends list always take you to their copy.

One Window at a Time

You can be in the city in one browser window at a time. If you open Club NYC somewhere else, the first window says “Playing somewhere else?” with a Play Here Instead button.

Reconnecting

If your connection drops, the game reconnects by itself. The online count says Reconnecting… and other people fade out until you’re back.

• ”The city is restarting” means we’re updating the game. You’ll be back in a few seconds.
• ”Back in a bit!” means scheduled maintenance. The game reconnects you automatically.
• ”You were signed out” means your sign-in expired. Click Reload to sign back in.

Playing Offline

You can also play on your own: choose Play Offline Instead at the front door. The game also plays offline if it can’t reach the city.

Progress you make offline can come online with you later (up to 1,000 coins of it). Account & Sign-In
