Ferry Captain

Steer the ferry from Battery Park to Liberty Island. Scoop up coins, dodge kayaks, tugboats and jet skis, and watch out for pizza-dropping seagulls.

Cast off! Mind the kayaks.

Take the wheel of the Liberty Island ferry. Steer up and down to scoop up coins and dodge harbor traffic, and get your passengers to the island in one piece.

Where to Play

Go to Battery Park, click Ferry Tickets (or Board the Ferry), then Captain the Ferry.

How to Play

  1. Cast off. Press Cast Off! (or Space).
  2. Steer. Move the ferry up and down to grab coins and dodge everything else. The ferry moves forward on its own.
  3. Survive. You have 3 life rings. Three bumps and you’re turned back to port.
  4. Dock. The last stretch is on autopilot (“Steady as she goes…”). Nothing can hit you there.

Scoring and Pay

  • +1 for every coin you scoop up. Coins come in rows, between channel markers, and in a trail into the pier at the end.
  • Life rings float by now and then. If you’ve lost a life, a ring gives it back. If you haven’t, it’s +5 coins.
  • Dock at Liberty Island for a +20 arrival bonus.
  • A bump costs a life and slows you down for a moment.

Your pay is the coins you scooped plus the arrival bonus. Your score (for the leaderboard) is coins scooped, without the bonus.

What’s in the Water

  • From the start: logs, buoys, kayaks and tugboats.
  • Later: sailboats that tack across your path, jet skis that weave (a flashing ! warns you they’re coming), tugboats towing barges, and kayak tours.
  • Seagulls drop pizza slices on you. When you see Incoming!, a red ring marks where it’ll land. Move.

There’s always a way through: the harbor never blocks every lane at once.

Tips

  • Move the moment you see “Incoming!”
  • At full health, life rings are worth 5 coins. Grab them anyway.
  • Finishing pays +20, so a careful trip beats a greedy one.
