Halal Rush
Work the lunch rush at the Adel's Famous Halal Food cart. Build each order exactly, serve it fast, and politely decline the ketchup.

The line at the Adel’s Famous Halal Food cart wraps around the block. (The real Adel’s cart, at Sixth Avenue and 49th Street, is famous for a line that runs past midnight.) Build what’s in each customer’s order bubble, then hand it over before they lose patience.
Where to Play
Go to Fifth Avenue, click Adel’s Famous Halal Food, then Work the Lunch Rush.
How to Play
- Grab a base. A foil container for a platter, or a pita.
- Scoop. Yellow rice (platters always need it), then the meat or falafel the customer wants, and salad if they asked for it.
- Squirt. White sauce and hot sauce, as many squirts as the bubble shows.
- Serve. Click the customer (or their bubble) to hand it over.
Your first customer comes with arrows that walk you through a full order.

Scoring and Pay
- Prices: a platter is $8, a pita is $6, and a combo (chicken and lamb) is $1 more.
- Perfect order: full price plus a tip. Faster service means a bigger tip, and a streak of perfect orders adds a little more.
- One small slip (salad or a sauce count off, rice in a pita): half price and no tip. Your streak resets.
- A big mistake (wrong base, a platter without rice, the wrong meat): $0, and the customer storms off.
- Pay: your coins are your cash total divided by 5 (so $50 in the till is 10 coins).
Special Customers
- Extra extra white sauce. Some customers want three squirts. They’ll tell you.
- The construction crew. A worker in a hard hat orders two platters for the crew. Serve both.
- The ketchup tourist. Wearing an I ♥ NY tee and holding a snow globe, asking for ketchup. Adel’s does not do ketchup. You’ll figure out the polite way to handle it.
How a Shift Goes
- A shift is 2 minutes 30 seconds. The clock ticks in the last 10 seconds, then the CLOSED sign goes up.
- Customers arrive faster as the rush builds, and get less patient.
- People who wait too long in line leave (“This line is crazy!”).
Your score is orders served.
Tips
- Speed pays. The tip shrinks as a customer’s patience runs out.
- Tossing is free. X never breaks your streak; it only costs a second.
- Platters always need rice.
- Use the keys. C 1 2 W and a click is a whole chicken platter.
